Welcome to Year 6, Class 12

Our Class Teacher is Miss Broadbent. Our Maths Teacher is Mr Keyworth

Our Teaching Assistants are Mrs White (am), Mrs Prunty (pm) and Miss Desole

We have P.E. / Games on a Monday and a Thursday. Kit needs to be brought in on a Monday and returned home for washing after the lesson on Thursday.

English Homework is set throughout the week to be returned the following day. (Please read the instructions inside the front cover of the Homework Book)

Mr Keyworth sets the Maths Homework and informs the pupils when it has to be returned for marking.

An AR book and a Colour Band Book are brought home each day in your child’s book bag with their Reading Record Book. Please ensure that they read every day and you sign their Reading Record Book. All the class are expected to complete at least one AR reading quiz in school every week, aiming to achieve 100% by Thursday lunchtime.

Spellings are tested every day from Tuesday to Friday (5-a-day) – please make sure your child practises the 5 words each day (Monday to Thursday). The daily 5-a-day sentences need completing in their Homework Books each evening and handing in on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings for marking.

Learning Homework for the Sticky Knowledge Quiz will be given out weekly.

Children should bring a full (name labelled) water bottle to school each day (only water is allowed – not juice or pop)
