Catholic Life and Mission
This is our Caritas Ambassador Team. The Caritas Ambassador Team is made up of pupils across KS2. They are responsible for putting our faith into action and leading all social action projects at St. Richard’s.
Each year, we run our Creme Egg appeal. The Caritas Ambassadors are in charge of running a competition to see which class can collect the most Creme Eggs. The eggs are then donated to Francis House and sold in knitted chicks across the city. This year we managed to collect an amazing 1912 eggs. Thank you so much to all of our generous families!
Our Caritas Ambassador team visited Little Sisters of the Poor St. Joseph’s care home. We had a fantastic afternoon: we sang songs, chatted to the residents and took pictures and cards made by our Year 5 pupils.
Kathryn Ansley from Caritas Salford came in to do some training with our Caritas Ambassador team. It was an inspiring afternoon and we can’t wait to put all of our new ideas into action!
The Caritas Ambassadors took charge of organising a whole school Christmas Jumper Day. All children were encouraged to bring in a donation and all the money raised will be donated to Save the Children.
The Caritas Ambassadors led our Harvest Collection this year for Cornerstone. We collected all the donations from each class and dropped them to Cornerstone Day Centre with Mrs Bentley. We are hoping that the food will make a big difference to those who need it!
